For longevity of your clothes, please wash inside out on a cold setting with a phosphate free detergent. Line dry or on a low dryer setting. Up to 10% shrink may occur depending on washing and drying conditions.
If you are not completely satisfied with your Gus + Steel purchase, we accept returns within 30 days of purchase. All returns will incur a 5% processing fee and AfterPay users will incur a 10% processing fee.
All items eligible for a return must be:
- with original tags and packaging intact
- free of odors, stains, animal hair or any other damage
- purchased at full retail value
Items NOT eligible for a return include:
- sale items
- clearance items
- end of season sales
- black Friday, black Friday week, cyber Monday, our annual Thankful sale, etc.
- any item where more than 10% discount was used
- swim items (one piece swimsuits, swim bottoms and swim boardies)
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the sender. If a return shipping label is generated from Gus + Steel the flat rate amount of $4.99 for packages under one pound and $9.99 for packages over one pound will be deducted from your refund whether it is store credit or original payment method. Gus + Steel is not responsible for items lost in transit. Shipping fees are non-refundable. If you received the incorrect item in your shipment or your item arrived defective, please contact customer service and provide your order number and images.
CHANGE ORDER/CANCELLATION POLICY
We fulfill orders fairly quickly, so there is no guarantee that we will be able to change or cancel your order for all ready to ship in stock items. If you order has already been processed, we will be unable to cancel or change your order. Pre-orders are only eligible for changes and/or cancellation within the first 48 hours of placing your order. Please email to change or cancel your order.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate exchanges. If you need a different size, the best route is to initiate a return and reorder.
All sales are final for items on sale. No returns or exchanges. Discount codes are not valid on sale items. Discount codes cannot be stacked.
At G+S we do our best to avoid shipping out any defective items. Unfortunately, we occasionally miss them and humans are making your items by hand for you. If you receive a defective item, please contact us within 10 days of receiving your item. Returns on defective items are only given to unwashed and unworn clothing as we cannot verify how clothes were washed or treated. Please email us to begin the process. Please include a photo and your order number.
Please note that as with any retailer, there may be variance in production on dye lots as well as very minor improvements in fits and finishes from season to season.
Every garment we make will have slight variance of measurements that makes up what we call allowable tolerances. These tolerances are a plus or minus value we use during production for quality assurance and are typically 1/2". So, if a garment is within a 1/2" of the point of measure it will meet standard. This is standard with any retailer and not unique.
Due to the high demand of Gus + Steel drops there is a chance of overselling if customers use Afterpay as their method of payment. Gus + Steel is not responsible for items overselling. Please note, if using Afterpay you run the risk of your carted item(s) overselling. This is due to the lag time with the Afterpay gateway payment window. Therefore, items you carted and purchased through Afterpay may oversell in the checkout stage. These oversold items will be cancelled and refunded.
In stock items ship within 1-3 business days but on drop days and holidays it maybe extended up to 14 business days. Business days do not include holidays or weekdays. Please refer to each pre-order for processing times. Pre-order items and in stock items will ship at the pre-order turnaround time if ordered together. If you would like in stock items to ship sooner, please make separate orders.
International orders shipping costs are calculated based on order weight. These orders may be subject to duties and/or taxes on full retail value, these fees are the responsibility of the recipient. International orders may take up to six weeks for delivery depending on country.
We are required to charge sales tax in California where we have a physical and economic nexus.
Once an item ships from our warehouse, it is out of our hands and in the hands of USPS. Please file all lost package claims with USPS. A tracking number was provided in your shipping email for reference. To file a claim with USPS, please call 800-275-8777. For FedEx Smart Post packages, please file a claim here.
