| What is your return policy? | Due to the nature of downloadable patterns all sales are final. |
| Is seam allownace (SA) included in Gus + Steel patterns? | Seam allowance is always included in Gus + Steel patterns. You will find the allotted seam allowance on the first page of the "Sewing Instructions". |
| Why so some patterns have 1/4" SA and other have 3/8" SA? | Gus + Steel started as a ready-to-wear (RTW) children's clothing manufacturer and our original production patterns were created with the standard knit production seam allowance of 3/8". We changed our approach in late 2022 to get back to our roots and love of pattern design by offering our designs to home sewist all over the globe. Our new designed-for-home-sewist patterns include a 1/4" seam allowance. |
| Can I use these patterns if I only have a sewing machine? | Of course! Many Gus + Steel patterns can be sewn with beautiful results using only a home sewing machine. If you are new to sewing with knit fabric you may want to start with any of our patterns labeled for beginners. You'll find the instructions explain which tools you need and which stitch you'll need to choose on your machine. |

Do you have ready made clothes anymore? |
We do not. We have ceased production of our RTW line in order to focus our attention, energy and passion into creating patterns for you to sew. |

What is included is each pattern? |
Each Gus + Steel pattern includes PDF letter, A0, A4 and projector files as well as complete, easy-to-follow instruction on how to construct the pattern, some basic sewing terms, a size chart and how-to-measure guide. Plus, for our small shop friends we have a batch sewing guide to help organize the process. |
| What are layered patterns? | Layered PDF patterns help ensure you have exactly the right size in front of you. You will find each of our patterns has a "How To Print" guide that explains how to use the layers function to choose and print only the size(s) your will need. |
| What color are your projector lines? | Black |
| How much margin space is included in projector files? | 20" |
| Can I sell items made with Gus + Steel patterns? | You can! Your Gus + Steel patterns are for your personal or small shop use. Please respect the rights of the designer by not sharing or redistributing them. <Not sure if we want to say anything about highlighting small shops here> |
| How do I receive my pattern? | Your pattern download will be sent to you via email upon finalizing your purchase. If you have not receive your download link or cannot find it, please check your spam/junk folder. |
| I didn't receive my order confirmation email? | If you have not received your order confirmation/download link at the email address in your Gus + Steel profile please check your spam/junk folder. You can access your account at www.gusandsteel.com/account at anytime to find your purchases and download your patterns. If you are still having issues with your purchase please email us. |
| What happens if a pattern is updated? | We are always looking to improve. If we change a pattern you have purchased in any way whether in design or by updating instructions we will notify you by email which will include a new download link. We encourage you to download it right away but if you ever need to access it the newest version will always be the version in your account profile which you can find at www.gusandsteel.com/account |
| Can I share my pattern with others? | We kindly ask that you not share or redistribute Gus + Steel patterns at any time. |
